Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (IBKR) reported third-quarter net revenues of $1.91 billion and diluted earnings of 69 cents per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company said in an 8-K filing on Thursday.

The results were released in a press release attached to the filing as Exhibit 99.1.

Here's how the company did:

  • Diluted EPS: 69 cents, vs. 59 cents a year earlier
  • Adjusted diluted EPS: 67 cents, vs. 57 cents a year earlier
  • Net revenues: $1.91 billion, vs. $1.66 billion a year earlier
  • Adjusted net revenues: $1.87 billion, vs. $1.61 billion a year earlier
  • Net income available for common stockholders: $314 million, vs. $263 million a year earlier

Adjusted figures are non-GAAP measures that exclude the currency diversification strategy and mark-to-market gains and losses on investments. The company said those items are not indicative of its core operating results.

Income before income taxes was $1.50 billion, up from $1.31 billion a year earlier. The pretax profit margin was 78%, both as reported and as adjusted, compared with 79% a year earlier.

Net income was $1.35 billion, compared with $1.19 billion a year earlier. Income tax expense increased to $148 million from $126 million.

Commission revenue increased 12% to $602 million. The company cited 18% higher DARTs, or daily average revenue trades, which are based on customer orders, along with higher regulatory fees that it passes through to customers.

Customer futures trading volume increased 13%, while stocks and options volumes decreased 24% and 1%, respectively.

Net interest income increased 19% to $1.15 billion, primarily on higher average customer margin loans and customer credit balances. Net interest margin was 1.99%, down from 2.16% a year earlier.

Other fees and services increased 33% to $88 million. The company said the increase was led by $11 million more in risk exposure fees, $3 million more in payments for order flow from exchange-mandated programs, and $3 million more in market data fees.

Execution, clearing and distribution fees increased 46% to $134 million. The company said the rise was mainly driven by a $30 million increase in regulatory fees, due to a higher SEC Section 31 transaction fee rate.

Other income decreased 18% to $70 million. The decline reflected $50 million from investing activities, partly offset by a $36 million increase from the currency diversification strategy.

The company bases its net worth in GLOBALs, a basket of 10 currencies in which it holds its equity. In the quarter, the strategy reduced comprehensive earnings by $4 million, because the U.S. dollar value of the GLOBAL decreased by approximately 0.08%.

Customer accounts increased 35% to 5.58 million, and total accounts rose 8% from the second quarter. Customer equity increased 27% to $964.7 billion, and customer margin loans increased 36% to $105.2 billion.

Total non-interest expenses increased to $418 million from $343 million a year earlier. Employee compensation and benefits rose to $167 million from $156 million.

Total equity was $23.3 billion at Sept. 30, up from $20.5 billion at Dec. 31, 2025.

The board declared an increase in the quarterly cash dividend to 15 cents per share from 8.75 cents. The dividend is payable Dec. 14, 2026, to shareholders of record as of Dec. 1, 2026.

The release did not include financial guidance for future periods.
