Omega Healthcare Investors Inc. (OHI) said Wednesday that Matthew Gourmand has assumed the role of chief executive officer, succeeding C. Taylor Pickett following his retirement, according to a regulatory filing.

Gourmand, who has served as the company's president since January 1, 2025, was also appointed as a director of the company to fill the vacancy left by Pickett. The appointment is for the remaining term of Pickett's directorship, which expires in 2027.

The filing noted that Pickett's retirement is not the result of any disagreement with the company regarding operations, policies, or practices. Following the appointment, the total number of directors on the board remains at eight. The board does not expect to appoint Gourmand to any board committees.

Gourmand, 51, has worked at the company since October 2017, initially serving as senior vice president of investor relations before becoming senior vice president of corporate strategy and investor relations in January 2021.

Prior to joining the company, Gourmand spent ten years working as an equity portfolio manager at Millennium Partners and Stevens Capital Management. He also worked for three years as an equity research analyst at UBS and spent six years in the audit department of Deloitte.

Gourmand qualified as a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant during his tenure at Deloitte. He earned an LLB in Law from University College, London, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

The company said Gourmand has no family relationships with any director or executive officer. There are no arrangements or understandings pursuant to which he was selected, and no related-party transactions requiring disclosure under Regulation S-K.

Gourmand will not receive any separate compensation for his service as a director beyond the compensation provided under his existing employment agreement.
