Estée Lauder (EL) set a fiscal 2030 ambition on Nov. 4 at a Shanghai event, targeting mid-single-digit organic sales growth each year through fiscal 2030, the company said in its press release.

The company also set an adjusted operating margin of 16.5% to 18.5% in fiscal 2030, and double-digit adjusted diluted earnings per share growth through that year.

The company said the ambition builds on its Beauty Reimagined strategy and its One ELC operating model.

“We are now entering a new chapter, moving beyond restoring growth to accelerating sustainable, profitable growth and creating long-term value,” said Stéphane de La Faverie, President and Chief Executive Officer. He added that “the best of The Estée Lauder Companies is yet to come.”

The company expects an adjusted effective tax rate of 30% or below by fiscal 2030. It also expects greater margin expansion in fiscal 2028 as initiatives approved under its Profit Recovery and Growth Plan reach a full year of benefits.

Through fiscal 2030, the company expects higher earnings, lower restructuring payments and continued working capital efficiencies to strengthen operating cash flow. Together with optimized capital expenditures, it expects those to increase free cash flow.

The company expects restructuring and other charges of approximately $40 million to $50 million, before taxes, in fiscal 2028. Those charges are excluded from the forward-looking metrics.

The company also anticipates a net sales impact from its acquisition of Forest Essentials in fiscal 2028. It said it cannot forecast that impact with reasonable certainty.

Accompanying slides show a raised fiscal 2027 outlook. Reported sales growth is now 5.0% to 6.5%, up from 3% to 5%, and adjusted diluted EPS growth is 28% to 38%, up from 24% to 34%, according to the presentation materials.
