TTM Technologies Inc. (TTMI) said Monday it plans to invest an additional $400 million to expand manufacturing capacity at four facilities in China and its facility in Penang, Malaysia, to meet growing demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, a regulatory filing showed.

The investment is incremental to the $1.2 billion the company previously committed to invest during 2025 through 2029, the company said in a press release furnished with the filing.

The company said the spending will mainly scale its advanced N+M asymmetrical interconnect manufacturing technology and bring AI-specific printed circuit board capacity online.

The company said it is bypassing greenfield construction in favor of brownfield expansion. It plans to optimize existing space and integrate new equipment to add capacity more quickly.

“The rapid growth in demand requires us to make rapid capacity increases across several of our facilities,” CEO Edwin Roks said.

“By leveraging our existing footprint in China and Penang to scale our advanced technology, we believe we are shortening the time between investment and revenue,” Chief Operating Officer Jim Walsh said.

The company said it is in ongoing discussions with long-standing customer partners that indicate expected demand increases.

The filing does not say over what period the $400 million will be spent. The company said it expects to provide more commentary during its third-quarter 2026 earnings conference call, with the date to be announced in coming weeks.
